you are safe bacha

The hospital corridor was cold and white, but Aarav’s world felt frozen in the moment he saw Aarohi carried inside—her face bruised, her breaths shallow.

He held her hand tightly, never letting go, as the doctors hurried to tend to her injuries.

Hours later, Aarohi lay resting on the hospital bed, her eyes closed but breathing steady.

Aarav sat beside her, fingers entwined with hers, his eyes red but full of relief.

Aarav: (softly) “Bachha… you’re safe now. No one will ever hurt you again. I promise.”

He brushed a stray hair from her forehead, voice thick with emotion.

---

Outside the ICU, the rest waited quietly.

Mahi stood close to Aditi, sharing a comforting look. Keyansh leaned against the wall, calm but attentive. Vihaan paced gently, checking his watch but calm in demeanor.

Mahi: (to Aditi) “Aarav’s been sitting there like a statue since they brought her in.”

Aditi: “That’s love for you. Scared to move, scared to breathe too loud.”

---

Vihaan stopped pacing, his gaze steady.

Vihaan: “She’s strong. She’ll pull through.”

-

Keyansh smiled faintly.

Keyansh: “Aarav’s lucky. Not everyone gets to hold their world like that.

---

Back inside, Aarohi’s fingers twitched. Aarav noticed instantly

Aarav: (softly) “Bachha? Can you hear me?”

Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing tired eyes that searched for his.

Aarohi: (weakly) “Aarav…”

Tears welled up in his eyes.

Aarav: “I’m here. You’re safe.”

Aarohi: “He... he tried to hurt me.”

Aarav’s jaw clenched, but he kept his voice steady.

Aarav: “He can’t touch you anymore. I made sure.”

Aarohi’s eyes flickered with fear and relief.

Aarohi: “I was scared... for the baby.”

Aarav squeezed her hand gently.

Aarav: “I’ll protect you both, no matter what.”

The ICU door opened softly. Mahi and Aditi stepped in with warm smiles and a small container of soup.

Mahi: “You need to rest, Aarohi. No more fighting for now.”

Aditi: “And you’ll eat this, even if it’s terrible.”

---

Aarohi: (smiling faintly) “I missed you both.”

Mahi: “Then don’t scare us like this again.”

Outside, Vihaan watched them from the glass wall.

Keyansh: (nudging him) “Going in?”

Vihaan: “Yeah, just giving them a moment.”

Keyansh nodded approvingly.

Back in the room, Aarav leaned down to gently kiss Aarohi’s forehead.

Aarav: “You’re my world, bachha. Never forget that.”

She closed her eyes, finally at peace.

Outside, Aditi looked at Keyansh.

Aditi: “So, when are you going to stop pestering me about that proposal?”

Keyansh: (grinning) “When you say yes.”

Vihaan caught Mahi’s eye and gave a small, reassuring nod.

Mahi:  - “How can vihaan changed so much

Inside, Aarav whispered again.

Aarav: “Rest now, bachha. I’m here.”bacha

And for the first time in a long time, Aarohi let herself drift away without fear

They all  lost in their thoughts but quietly drawing strength from each other.

Mahi glanced at Vihaan, her eyes searching for something she couldn’t say aloud.

Mahi: (softly) “It’s strange how time changes everything… but some things stay hidden.”

Aditi looked at Keyansh, noticing the tension in his jaw.

Aditi: “Not all feelings are easy to show, are they?”

Keyansh smiled faintly but didn’t answer.

---

Vihaan broke the silence, voice low but steady.

Vihaan: “We all have parts of our past we want to keep buried.”

Aarav stepped out of the room for a moment, eyes darkening briefly as he looked back inside.

Aarav: “The past is never really gone. It waits. And sometimes, it comes back.”
