He rested his chin on her head and said nothing for a moment. Then, in a voice barely above a breath, trembling with years of grief, he whispered- "How did you endure all this... alone, my love?" His voice cracked. Aditi went still. "You gave birth to our child, raised her in a foreign country, protected her, smiled for her... and still managed to keep going?" He slowly cupped her face and tilted her chin up, eyes glassy. "I missed you... so much, Aditi."
